 Wrinkle Ridge in Lunae Planum

Wrinkles and Ridges in Lunae Planum
The prominent, sinuous ridge in this image is a zone of rock that has been cracked and folded above a system of large faults buried just below the surface. The smaller ridges are dunes of sand and dust that have accumulated on the down-wind side of the fault-related ridge.
