Craters within a Crater
The floor of Schroeter Crater is speckled with other craters, most of them degraded. The largest entire crater has a sharp rim, indicating that it is relatively young. Despite this, it is filled with dunes, so it’s been there long enough for the wind to blow material into it.  (Read the full caption.)
