This image footprint highlights an area that is dominated by bright exposures of rock as also revealed by the CaSSIS and Context Camera instruments. The CRISM instrument also on MRO has shown information related to the mineralogy of iron-containing minerals in this crater, which is s 79 kilometers in diameter and was named after Carl Otto Lampland.
