Gully Monitoring

Gully Monitoring

Remembrance of Impacts Past
This site is one of the most impressive known areas of gully activity in the Northern Hemisphere of Mars. Our goal is to monitor seasonal frost and to look for small changes, including fresh frost deposits. The dark area around the crater is the ejecta blanket from the impact that has not faded away, so the crater is geologically recent.
