Dark-Toned Features, Light-Toned Layers
A Context Camera image shows numerous dark-toned disks in a light-toned layer at this location, so HiRISE will give us a much more detailed view. These dark-toned disks could be the result of soft-sediment deformation, recent craters, or inverted ancient/embedded craters.
