Mawrth Vallis Dark-Toned Cap Associated with Well-Preserved Crater Ejecta

Mawrth Vallis Dark-Toned Cap Associated with Well-Preserved Crater Ejecta

A Dark-Toned Cap
The objective of this observation is to help us determine the relationships of “spectrally bland” dark-toned cap unit observed here and at other locations on Mars (e.g., Nili Fossae, Oxia Planum etc.). This observation would hopefully capture an image spanning the crater rim to the distal edges of the ejecta where it may be possible to determine if the cap unit is impact related or not.
