Slope Monitoring in Wislicenus Crater

Slope Monitoring in Wislicenus Crater

A Survey of Wislicenus Crater
Previous images appear to have northwest- and west-facing examples of recurring slope lineae (RSL). Additional images like this one can confirm if this is a good RSL candidate site. Wislicenus Crater is about 140 kilometers in diameter, and is located in Noachis Terra. In addition to RSL, the light-toned rock we see might be associated with hydrated minerals like sulfates that indicate a possible ancient water environment.
