Minor Distributary Channel in Athabasca Valles

Minor Distributary Channel in Athabasca Valles

A Minor Channel in Athabasca Valles
A small finger of the Athabasca Valles flood lava has flowed through here and either carved a shallow channel or used a previously existing channel. It might be the latter, since there are places where the lava doesn’t seem to have made it over the channel bank and because a thin flow like this can’t have been very erosive.
