A Crater with a Surrounding Depression
While this pockmarked terrain looks like it’s on the Moon, it’s in the Deuteronilus Mensae region in the Northern Hemisphere of Mars. We see a crater within a crater with an elliptical surrounding depression. Could this formation be the result of the sublimation of icy crater fill?
