This HiRISE image was requested for further analysis of channel and fan deposits within Peridier that are also visible in Context Camera pictures. The layering and shape of the fan suggests a possible stepped-fan formation. Peridier Crater is about 100 kilometers in diameter and is located in the Syrtis region of Mars.
