Inverted Channel West of Idaeus Fossae

An Inverted Channel West of Idaeus Fossae
This image shows a multi-thread inverted fluvial channel, to the west of Idaeus Fossae, likely from the mid-Noachian epoch on Mars (about 3.9 billion years ago). There is evidence for lateral channel migration, and it’s possibly associated with fan deposits in a crater to the east.
