Layered Polar Exposure

Layered Polar Exposure
Despite what looks like a hazy atmosphere, we still managed to capture an image with good details. Context Camera images at this location show layering on the southward exposure of an icy outlier. This outlier likely represents a remnant of a larger water ice deposit, perhaps an old polar cap that extended farther to the south compared to present Planum Boreum.
