Circular Features in Southern Elysium Planitia

Circular Features in Southern Elysium Planitia
It appears that a couple of craters were just barely flooded by lava, with a jumble of blocky material in the middle. Curious why this happens and where the blocky stuff comes from—if the craters were filled by something, why did lava flow in at a lower level and why does the jumble stick up above the crater rim?
