Made with HiRISE: Adeline Horst
Adeline Horst

My name is Adeline Horst and I live here in Tucson, Arizona and soon Jerusalem, Israel for my business. I’m a retired United States government employee and have an Arizona corporation business and with Hezekiah Pool jewelry business from Jerusalem doing international gemshows.

After I heard Ari Espinoza give a presentation about Mars and HiRISE, I was immediately fascinated by the color schemes in the variety of images and started to use that for my jewelry design. (See A Large Impact Crater with Gullies and Beautiful Dunes with Frost in Matara Crater for reference.)

I was trained and certified in colors and was on faculty at the University of Arizona Extended University for color design and fashion design for ten years. I thought I knew something about colors but after viewing the HiRISE images, my horizons have been expanded greatly. And the response from recipients of gifts have shown me that people absolutely love it. I have also been experimenting with fabrics in designs for clothing based on HiRISE images. In the process of starting up a business as I emigrate to Israel, the Ministry of Absorption assigned a counselor and the first recommendation is to get a website, and they were excited about HiRISE images for jewelry design. There’s no limits what a person can do with these images, and I think it could be inspiration for interior design and whatever your imagination takes you with these stunning pictures.
